First, we are chile lovers! Our favorites are chiles from the fertile Hatch Valley in southern New Mexico, USA - The Chile Capital of the World.

Hatch Chile comes in many forms: roasted, canned, frozen, fresh, powders and more. In 2020 our founder, Lane Grado, partnered with a local chile and salsa company to introduce the world’s first Freeze Dried Hatch Chile. That product won the coveted SIAL America Gold Award for Best New Innovative Product, beating out food entries from more than 40 countries worldwide. Now Lane has struck out on his own to introduce more innovative, tasty products centered around Hatch Chiles.

 
Sagrado Chile Products

Lane has developed a new variety of Hatch chile powder that is unlike any chile powder you have ever tasted. The new powder has a bright floral aroma and amazing flavor profile that is a mix of fresh and freshly roasted Hatch chiles. The bright flavors, colors and fine-mesh grind make these powders perfect for countless new recipe applications that are not possible with traditionally made powders.  We feature these spectacular powders in several of our products. 

Sagrado means sacred in Spanish. Chiles are somewhat sacred in New Mexican cuisine, where the Official State Question is "Red or Green"?, asking what type of chile you prefer. We even have an Official State Smell -  the amazing aroma of roasting chiles that permeates the air every harvest season. In honor of New Mexico chiles, and especially our new variety of chile powder, we named the company Sagrado Chile.
